Board Meetings that work

Board Meetings that Work

Volunteer boards must structure their board meetings to focus on the right things if they are to address issues, demonstrate leadership and govern effectively. This workshop outlines factors involved in successful board meetings beginning with group dynamics, and including consent agendas, dashboard indicators, facilitation and participation skills, dealing with problem behaviours, electronic meetings and evaluation tools.

Strategic Planning

Understand the process, learn the language and assess your organization’s readiness for strategic planning. Sample forms and questionnaires, hands-on experience and an interactive format are hallmarks of this workshop. Suggestions for assessing whether or not to use a consultant will also be included.

Fund Development Basics

The board members’ role in fund development, board member giving as well as the pros and cons of various fund development strategies, donor relations and sustainability are all addressed in this hands-on session.

In addition to these workshops, Management Strategies can custom design a workshop to fit your organization’s specific needs and requirements.
